History
The main historical events:
- 1828 - Centreville Bank was granted a state charter, the location was the corner of Water and Main Streets in the Centreville part of West Warwick
- 1865 - Centreville became a national bank
- 1888 - foundation of Centreville Savings Bank, closely associated with Centreville National and in records named The Centreville National and Savings Bank
- 25 April 1901 - bank moved to the Jericho section of West Warwick (now known as Arctic)
- 1928 - firm of Hutchins and French of Boston was commissioned to design a new building for the bank, now there are the company headquarters
- Today the bank dropped "national" from its name and uses only Centreville Bank, its assets have grown from $25,000 in 1828 to $815 million in 2005.
